Almost 20 days ago I posted a perfunctory note saying 1) I had read a couple of books in May and 2) I was entering a month of hell.
I've read some more this month, and you'll get that list on or about 1 July. But more importantly, my month of hell is almost over. I am finishing an assignment as we speak (no really, it's on my lap and this is a 15 minute break). It's almost done, it has me excited about student teaching this fall, and if I can crank it out before I have to work tonight, all's the better. Then I just have to turn it in on Monday and POOF! Nothing else until August.
August, when my world falls apart. August when, much to my dismay, I will be on the go seven days a week, between work, student teaching, and the one final class I have to take to get this damned teaching certificate. SEVEN days a week. At school Monday through Friday, working who knows what nights (Saturday-Mondays for sure, and then some) and either a Tuesday night or Thursday night class. It was rough this month. It's gonna be INSANE from late-August through mid-January. IN.SANE.
I'll be back next week and give an update on what's been going down 'round these parts. For now, rest assured that I'm alive and kicking, I'm getting a roomate for the first time since undergrad next week (who comes along with a pet bunny!), there is a family of sparrows living in the birdhouse in my soul on my back porch, and I would currently punch a kangaroo in the throat for a day off.
