Ah, summer vacation. I remember it so. Alas, months of glorious freedom are not to be so am scaling my plans accordingly. Whilst some are sketching garden layouts, building raised beds, and lovingly caressing each baby shoot as it sprouts, I am of the buy a tomato plant at Home Depot and plop it on the balcony in the same container it came in. Miracle Gro, water, done.
This year however, am branching out. My co-worker is one of the above gardeners and as she knows I am not, she offered me a upside down planter. Perfect!
Seems simple enough. Am thinking though. It seems from the box that there are plant spots all around the cylinder and am wondering if I could do a one side strawberry, one side tomato setup. The instructions seem pretty basic across all plants - dirt and water seem necessary for both crops.
So we shall see. Am I maximizing efficiency or creating some horrible hybrid monster?
